What is a Limited Function Referral Office?

Did you get your Texas real estate license, but decide selling real estate was not for you? Since you took the time to take all those hours of education and passed the test to get your license, do you really want to do nothing with the license? A Limited Function Referral Office (LFRO)is what you're looking for. You can pass off referrals, sit on your couch, and watch the money arrive.

When you sign up under an LFRO, you no longer have to pay all those monthly and yearly dues for the National Association, the Texas Association, or the Local Association of REALTOR®. In addition to saving money with no dues, you also save money by not having to pay MLS or Supra Key access fees which add up when you're not actually using them.

Hanging your license with Lanaly Homes helps you save around $2000 a year with not having to pay all these dues and fees. The main requirement is you must have an Active real estate license. That means you must continue to take the required education classes for each renewal, and you must continue to renew your license with TREC to stay Active. Only Licensees with Active real estate licenses can collect referral fees.

It doesn't matter where in Texas you live, you can still join Lanaly Homes. Lanaly might be based in the Austin market, but you can live in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Abilene... anywhere, even out of state. The only requirement is an Active Texas real estate license.

Meet the Broker

Donna Harris

Donna Harris is an accomplished real estate agent who has received local, statewide, and national recognition for her work performance. Licensed as a REALTOR® since 2000, she works with Buyers and Sellers throughout the Austin area and suburbs.

Donna has a BA in Psychology and is very involved in many aspects of the real estate world. She is a Property Tax Arbitrator for the Texas Comptroller's Office, a member of the Risk Reduction Committee for TXR, a member of Texas' Professional Standards and Grievance Committee which enforces the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, an Ombudsman and Mediator for TXR, as well as owning Texas Real Estate Mediation Services.

After 20+ years in real estate, Donna decided to get her Broker's license and she works as a Broker Associate with JP & Associates, the #1 Independently Owned brokerage in the state of Texas.

When Donna isn't wearing any of her real estate hats, she is married and a mom of two young children who keep her active, as they are always exploring Austin: from hiking at Hamilton Pool, to sitting at the beach at Pace Bend Park, to playing in the currents of Bull Creek.

You also can find Donna and her family wakeboarding throughout the year on Lake Travis, Lake Austin, and the Pedernales River.
